Board nyhederPosted by goyasails 26 Mar, 2009 08:52:34- Custom Wave line: Very exclusive wave range, the rocker gets straighter trhough the range (66 to 84). Meaning the 84 is better suited to light winds and softer wave.
all the tests are good on these and the conclusion is "precise, fast and perfect to slice waves!".. It is also said they perform best in sideshore conditions.
- TwinFin: Shorter, wider and straighter rocker (faster planning, easier to use). These will perform best in typical european conditions of on shore, side shore winds... Also if waves are slow the board will allow a less experience sailor to make the most of it.
Goya One - more straight /fast rocker line. Early planing, good speed and good jumping. Better suited for Euro wave conditions - smaller waves and on shore.
Ultimately,
If you are sailing in sideshore/ off shore conditions with good powerfull waves:
- experience guys: Custom wave or twinfin
- average : twin fin or Goya One series (smaller volumes).
If it is more on-shore with smaller softer waves (EuroWave conditions) :
- Experienced sailor: custom or twin (will move easier with twin) or Goya One
- Average sailor: Goya One or twinfin.
Board nyhederPosted by goyasails 15 Mar, 2009 15:30:40The Test Quiver
We decided that it was important to test these sails with both single and twin fin wave boards as the difference in riding style and power delivery can bear some factor on performance. We chose to use the super versatile GOYA ONE 77 (which didn’t quite make it in time for our 75 litre wave test) as our single fin and the hugely popular Quatro 75 Twin Fin.
All brands are asked to supply their own masts and extensions for the test, whilst we use our own boom/s to ensure consistency of feel etc.
